Notice is hereby given that the Greater Lowndes Planning Commission (GLPC) and the Valdosta Mayor-Council will hold public hearings to consider the following Rezoning and Text Amendment requests. The public hearings are as follows:
Greater Lowndes Planning Commission (recommendation only) Monday, November 27, 2017 – 5:30 p.m. 325 West Savannah Avenue, Valdosta, Georgia
Valdosta Mayor-Council (official public hearing) Thursday, December 7, 2017 - 5:30 p.m. 216 East Central Avenue (City Hall), Valdosta, Georgia
FILE NUMBER VA-2017-16. Request by Environmental Audit & Assessment to rezone 3 parcels totaling 0.580 acres from Single-Family Residential (R-6) to Manufacturing/Distribution (M-2). The subject property is located at 220 & 224 Myddleton Road in Valdosta, Georgia (all or part of Tax Map 0119D – Parcels 060, 061, & 062).
FILE NUMBER VA-2017-17. Request by the City of Valdosta for text amendments to the Land Development Regulations (LDR) pertaining to Section 218-13 Standards of Use and Development. A complete copy of these proposed amendments in on file in the City of Valdosta Planning and Zoning Division office.

FILE NUMBER APP-2017-06 Request by Axis Infrastructure for a variance to LDR Section 230-9 (E)(3) as it pertains to size requirements for signs at Drive-through Restaurants. The subject property is located at 4109 Bemiss Road in Valdosta, Georgia. (all or part of Tax Map 0146A - Parcel 094)
FILE NUMBER APP-2017-07 Request by Messiah Lutheran Church for a variance to LDR Section 230-9(E)(6)(a) as it pertains to the allowed zoning districts for a variable message boards. The subject property is located at 500 Baytree Road in Valdosta, Georgia. (all or part of Tax Map 0115C - Parcel 220)
