Sealed Bids will be received by the
City of Ashland, Kentucky
on the following item(s):
INFORMATION - CONTRACTOR TO FURNISH ALL LABOR, EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS TO PERFORM ALL WORK SPECIFIED AND ANY APPURTENANCES NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT FOR THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING SIDEWALKS, STEPS, WALLS AND HANDRAILS FOR THE PLACEMENT AND REPLACEMENT OF HANDRAILS, SIDEWALKS, WALLS, RAMPS, STEPS, HANDRAILS, WHICH ARE ADA COMPLIANT AND OTHER RELATED WORK FOR THE DEBORD TERRACE HANDRAILS & CONCRETE PROJECT. CONTRACTOR MUST ADHERE TO DAVIS BACON WAGE REGULATIONS AND ALL WORK WILL BE COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE TO THE CITY OF ASHLAND AND THE AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARD ON USABLE BUILDINGS AND FACILITIES. THIS PROJECT IS FUNDED BY THE CITY OF ASHLAND, DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG).
BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL AND SECURITY FOR THIS PROJECT. ALL COSTS TO INCLUDE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF EXISTING MATERIALS.

This is a federally assisted project. Contractors and contractors performing work under this adver-tisement are bound by the requirements of President’s Executive Order 11246 as amended by Execu-tive Order 11375; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 109 of Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. The Contractor’s attention is called to the “Equal Opportunity Clause” which states: During the performance of this contract, the contractor agrees as follows: (1) The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin, and the goals and timetables for minority and female participation in each trade and to the fact that not less than minimum wages set forth in the contract documents must be paid.
Bids will be received in the City of Ashland, Human Resource Dept., Third Floor, Room 301 of the City Building, and 1700 Greenup Avenue, Ashland, Kentucky until 3:00 P.M. EST.. THURSDAY DECEMBER 21st 2017. At 3:15 P.M.. EST., THURSDAY DECEMBER 21st, 2017 the bids will be opened and publicly read in Commission Chambers, Third Floor, Ashland City Building, and 1700 Greenup Avenue, Ashland, Kentucky.
The City of Ashland through its City Manager, Department Director and the Housing Authority of Ashland, Executive Director reserves the right to reject all or any part of a bid should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Ashland or the Housing Authority of Ashland.
